The Second Edition of Aterno River Festival

On 3 June 2018 the second edition of the Aterno River Festival took place in Fontecchio, in presence of about 150 people.

Also this year, the festival was an opportunity to bring people closer to the river, to spread information about its environmental health and the importance of the River Contract for its protection.

In the morning there was an itinerant conference along the river led by Andrea Agapito (WWF environmental expert) and Giovanni Damiani (Regional Environmental Protection Technician). Furthermore, during the day, other events took place, such as: naturalistic walks organized by the Abruzzo Mountains Wild Association, environmental education workshops for children organized by the Environmental Education Center “In Famiglia al Casale Sherpa”, canoe trips along the river led by the Bosso Cooperative and an exhibition of natural wools organized by the association “I campi di Grano”.

Finally, we all ate together along the river with a lunch organized by Ass. Pico Fonticulano, accompanied by the music of the Vitivinicola Abruzzese band.
